Events

Since I started my career, I have been involved in organising events for employers and clients.
It helps to have a generalist in such a situation—someone who can handle multiple tasks associated with the event.

Be it expert identification and selection, organic and paid promotions, speaker and VIP management, track or sector management, quick crisis aversion, live social media feeds, or back-end support—I have done it all.

Offline Events

The month I joined my first job, the organisation was in the process of arranging an event for the open source community and industry in India. As someone who is great with people, I was assigned with the management of all speakers and VIPs attending Open Source India (OSI) 2013.
The next month was Electronics Rocks 2013, the organisation’s tech conference for the electronics community in India. In addition to the previous responsibility, I identified and contacted prospective subject matter experts and homegrown startups doing incredible work. I ensured that they got all the information related to the event, confirmed for the event, and received transportation.
In 2015 and 2016, I took charge of managing the multiple tracks and segments for these events. Even after resigning from the organisation, I continued to manage tracks, segments, and speakers for all their events until 2017.

Online Events

I have arranged, managed, facilitated, and spoken at online events on multiple video conferencing platforms.
This includes, but does not limit to, a series of Instagram Live for an influencer campaign (Ref: Influencer Marketing—Strategy & Campaigns), breathwork and movement masterclasses for groups over Zoom and Google Meet, upskilling sessions for teams over Jitsi Meet, and diversity and inclusion seminars at educational institutions and corporates over Microsoft Teams.

Workshops

Worked with a disability and gender rights activist and author for a two-day offline event. Managed the track, logistics of the speaker, and live social media feed.
Have also organised Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) conferences and workshops at district and state level while still in college.
